Durante questo pasto tra vicini, i loro mariti hanno iniziato a fare battute. "La stiratura è per le donne". "Le donne sono più delicate, per natura." Li faceva ridere moderatamente. Poi suo marito si ricordò di cosa stava dicendo suo nonno. Quando sua moglie si lamentava di essere troppo calda durante la stiratura, lui le diceva "spogliati e basta!". Gli uomini erano morti dal ridere. Donne non ridevano affatto.
